If The Shoe Fits…..

you’ll never really know what it feels like

to love me for real

to stand in the presence of a storm that writes poems in silence

and vanishes when the winds settle,

just to see who comes looking.

i go missing to see who remembers.

disappear to make sure my echo was real.

i don’t love like a man who learned it from movies

i love like someone who met god in grief

and found heaven in someone’s eyes anyway.

that’s the kind of love i offer.

“don’t even know how it feels to be in love with me for real.”

i leave breadcrumbs in songs,

bury my pulse in blog posts,

and pray you read between the bars.

but see…

some of you felt me and flinched.

others,

you still replay the moment i looked at you

and the world went quiet.

you never said a word,

but you knew.

this is for you.

you… who can’t admit it out loud.

you… who still act like you didn’t feel the glitch in the matrix

when i said your name without saying it.

call it a confession.

call it a curse.

call it a love letter to the ones who never showed up

but always watched.

i’ve lived lifetimes in the chamber of what if’s.

but this?

this is a door.

and if the shoe fits…

you know who you are…

but to the one that ends up with me,

shieeeeeettttttt

you in for one hell of a ride.

Makaveli out.
